Student Cards are Changing- Introducing the ACU Card

Your ACU Card is proof of your status as an enrolled student at Australian Catholic University.

Your ACU Card displays your photo and student number. It enables you to borrow books from the library, and to do photocopying and printing.

It is compulsory for attendance at examinations. If you are a full-time student your ACU Card may provide you with discounts at cinemas, some retail outlets and concessions on buses, trains and ferries.

For more information about the new ACU Cards visit: ACU Cards

Where and when can I get my ACU Card?

ACU Cards are available from your local Student Centre.

If you are unable to come to the campus to have your ACU Card photo taken during normal business hours, you can forward to the ACU Student Centre a passport sized colour photograph* for scanning or an electronic image file in jpeg format. Please ensure you include your full name, course and student ID number when providing your photograph to the Student Centre.

*(Please note that “happy snaps” are not appropriate and are not acceptable. Only passport-sized photos [head & shoulders] will be accepted.)

Note: In order to obtain your ACU Card your enrolment must be recorded on the student database.

What if I lose my ACU Card?

Replacement ACU Cards are available from the Student Centre. There is a replacement fee, refer to Miscellaneous Charges for details.

What if I change from part-time load to full-time load or vice versa?

Students who move from a part-time load to a full-time load or vice versa and who wish to receive a new ACU Card to reflect this change are required to pay the replacement fee.

Continuing students should note the full-time / part-time load is based on the information provided at the time of re-enrolling. Should you change your status after ACU Cards are printed you will be required to pay the replacement fee. However, if a course structure requires a student to change between full-time and part-time load, there is no replacement fee.
