Deferred Graduates

Graduating students are able to defer their attendance at a ceremony for a maximum of 12 months.

Students that defer their attendance will still graduate at the next available ceremony so they can receive their testamur. Testamurs will be posted to deferred graduates by registered post.

Deferred graduates will be contacted 6 – 8 weeks prior to the ceremony they are attending to confirm their attendance and arrange payment.

Deferred graduates can either bring their original testamur to the ceremony, or alternatively we will have a replica available on the day.

If you are finishing your course mid year and your campus does not have a Spring ceremony, you will still officially graduate at the Spring ceremony. This is so you can receive your testamur. You can then elect to attend a ceremony at your home campus in the following Autumn. You can do this through the registration system on Student Connect once you receive your graduation information.

If you require a Visa letter for the department of immigration, in order for your family to attend your graduation ceremony, please email graduation@acu.edu.au with the following information:

  • Who you wish to attend
  • Their relationship to you
  • Their full name
  • Their home address
